The brief for this project was to design a bracket for the existing Inverter to attach onto the air vents of a car. The design needed to be as simple as possible to reduce the cost. Great consideration was given to the design of the tool so no inserts were necessary when injection moulding. Certain features of the existing inverter needed to be considered such as the area for the plug, the air vents on the sides and the USB port on the side. Rendered images were sent to a manufacturer in China.
