THE BODY REDEFINED
In order to redefine the body, I wanted to explore the gore that lay under the surface of a single beautiful human figure. Without this strange mechanical interior that we constantly take for granted, we would not be able to function like we do. I captured this by inspecting the inside of animal carcasses. In our everyday tasks we are always looking ‘at’ things and don’t always give time to explore, so I continually asked myself “What’s inside?” and focused on objects that could be looked in and through. I wanted to break down the constricted barrier, the skin, the connection and - Bring the inside, out.
