Mortar and Pestle
The assignment was to design and build a product within 3 weeks that embodies the Supernormal philosophy: an artifact so simple, basic and pure that it defines its own product category; a product so ordinary that it becomes extraordinary.
This mortar and pestle is inspired by the soothing and relaxing use of Chinese Stress Balls. This product combines together the contrast of chrome and walnut wood to create yin and yang harmony, while effectively doing its job.
