Elinor designed our new home on the site of our old character home that was badly damaged in the February 2011 earthquake and was subsequently demolished.
It was not an easy site: being long and narrow with constricting recession planes.
In spite of the limitations of the site Elinor had the ability to consider our thoughts and suggestions along with her practical and creative ideas to give us what is a beautiful and unique home with the contemporary characteristics we wanted.
