DISTAFF
Distaff represents one of the oldest handicrafts in Lithuania. Distaff is a tool that was easy to find in every single house. It has witnessed long and patient everyday work and was respectfully decorated with complex imageries. Distaff has a very wide symbolic. People in the old times had a belief that the symbols used on their distaffs have a magical power to make flax grow faster.
This pencil tray has a base of a pure distaff silhouette. This item preserves the meaning of a patient work, inspires new thoughts and decorates the room. It is pure base of history, supplemented by turned solid wood rings, that strengthens the energy of the item and acknowledges strong and unique meaning of it.
