IDEC 2017 Competition Project

The Ablution Sanctuary will feature a variety of spaces, creating a navigable pathway through both indoor and outdoor spaces. This labyrinth form interaction with the facility will allow patients to absorb meditative pleasures, increasing sober endorphins therefore assisting in mental stability and abuse recovery. The seating spaces provided will relax occupants through social gathering and open discussion, as well as providing spaces for individual quiet reflection, stimulating personal growth. The indoor herbal and succulent gardens will increase biophilic benefits. And the outdoor gardening center will incorporate horticulture lessons to provide the patients with educational stimulation.
