Ziel Residence

ZIEL RESIDENCE EAU CLAIRE, WISCONSIN COMPLETED: 2011 | This modern farm house was designed for passive solar heating. A window wall stretches along the south facade, providing natural light, and allowing the sun to shine directly onto the thermal mass materials provided. A large overhang protects from overheating in the summer and in-floor heat is provided to supplement the passive heating.

The open concept interior of the home is designed to combine contemporary and classic elements, reflecting the siting of a modern home amidst existing rustic barn structures.

This Project Completed while at Lien & Peterson Architects, Inc.
