Integrated Design Competition - Boeing Building

The Integrated Design Competition is held during the Spring Semester for 4th year undergraduates at Kent State University. The site for the 7-story mixed use building was located in Washington D.C. at the Yards along the Anacostia River. The client selected to be the primary tenant was Boeing and the spec tennant was Expedia.com. The building was designed using Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP.

Also, we designed many of our own Revit components for the project; including some specific for our client. The list includes: a Boeing wall sconce, air plane statues, receptionist desk, conference table, 20" computer monitors, flat screen TV, turbine engines, exhaust systems, biodiesel storage tanks, piping systems, and tree grate overlays.

Since we chose Boeing for a client, we also enlisted the help of an aircraft mechanic, David Aston, as an aeronautics consultant. His knowledge and insights were a valuable resource for our design concepts.
