Eating Utensil Project

This was a second year project to design a eating utensil for a targeted market.
My chosen market for this project was toddlers who suffer from Food Neophobia. This is simply the fear to trying something new.
My researved revealed to me that it can be very difficult for parents to introduce new food to their offsprings. The reason why this happens because the toddlers are simply having fear of what they ingest, and see unfamiliar food as poison. This is a survival instinct.
Lego Feed is designed to get these fossy eaters in a good mood as they build up their own cutlery just before a meal.
The cutlery is divided into three parts, the handle, the picture box frame and the eating part.
The handle is embedded silicon on both top and bottom of the handle for comfort and grip.
The box picture frame consist of four slots for holograpic pictures of different food toddlers are less likely to eat.
The eating part has a spoon with embedded fork which is controlled by a button. RRP £14.99
