Tread Model - Using many different materials I modeled this full scale design to sell the idea to sales and marketing.
I used two different methods, shown the tread was split down the middle each half having its own design. Or to save time and materials I would build up just half of a product and place it infront of a large mirror.
Pre-Production Elliptical Covers - Using a piece of ash wood I made a buck to form some aluminum sheet to over it. A small cutout for the power and switch, paint and trim.
Pre-Production Elliptical Covers - I cut the CNC foam to get the male buck, used it as a mold to lay fiberglass over the top to give us our cavity, then laid fiberglass into the cavity to get the final part. We needed the center pieces al to be fiberglass for strength while the large side covers were vacuum formed.
