Refine Ray is an emergancy water filtration device designed to be launched off the back of kayaks. Its hydrodynamic design ensures that it dives below the wake created by the kayak and also the non use of any turbine prevents the filters becoming damaged by cavitation. The filters are designed to filter 1000 liters of water, using different sized filters to remove diseases and parasites down to 0.01 microns in size.
This project was the first project I produced at University and was a group project I produced with 4 other Product Designers. The project taught my vital skills such as team work. One of the key skills I learnt was being able to collaborate individual design tasks each designer had worked on into our final product.
