Large mural for Moana Bar @ nhow Amsterdam Rai hotel

nhow Amsterdam Rai is a 4-star
hotel designed by renowned architect Reinier de Graaf, located next to the Rai Convention Centre in Amsterdam.

LARGE MURAL FOR MOANA BAR

The Moana Bar at nhow Amsterdam Rai isn’t just a spot for sipping drinks—it’s an artistic haven where cultures meet and engage in a fascinating dialogue. In this space, the hotel’s visual narrative comes alive, spotlighting an extraordinary blend of Japanese and Mexican cultures.

An awe-inspiring mural serves as the focal point of this cultural conversation: two majestic Day of the Dead figures, or ‘catrinas,’ command the scene. One of them is reimagined and transformed, embodying the grace and mystique of a modern-day geisha. Surrounding her, a tapestry of iconic elements comes to life: from vibrant Mexican blossoms to the ethereal mythological spirits of Japan. Every nuance, every stroke, contributes to a surreal storyline where two seemingly disparate cultures coalesce in a remarkably seamless and organic harmony.
