Asian-Pacific American Heritage Week (2013)
The Asian-Pacific American Heritage Week (APAHW) is an annual, cultural celebration that takes place in November at the University of Pennsylvania. Run and organized by an elected student board, APAHW continues a consistent tradition of events, such as the "Big Asian" talent competition and a round-table discussion event with the Asian-American Studies program at Penn.
From 2012-13, I worked as the Communications Chair for the 2013 APAHW. In addition to helping develop the theme, "The APAHW Network" and maintaining the board's internal logistics, I also developed the program's branding, managed a team of Design and Marketing board members, and controlled all social media channels. I compiled a timeline of past APAHW highlights to include onto the APAHW website, and created an official logo for APAHW to use for the years to follow.
