The product features two polymer injection molded case halves, each containing a piece of die-cut memory foam inside. A double pin-hinge in the back with a single pull-back snap latch in the front create a secured closure. We determined the design direction to be to minimize any assembly and O.E.M. components, and therefore worked to incorporate the hinge and latch into molding of the plastic components using side-action cams in the tooling. While this did require more complicated tooling on the front end, it would pay dividends on the back end with every part manufactured.
