Personalised 3D Printed Cutlery

Personalised 3D Printed Cutlery

This was one of the briefs set during my second year of Derby University. The task was to come up with; an initial design concept, 3D SoildWorks CAD model and a display board showing what the interface would look like. For this project meetings took place between the students and a London based 3D printing café called MakersCafé, MakersCafé are a company that provide a café experience whilst you are 3D printing and also have an online shop that allows users to pick customisable items they can alter then print. Our challenge for this company was to design a customisable set of cutlery or crockery that people could customise and pay for prior to their visit then use during their café experience. I designed cutlery that the user could chose a head type, a handle, colour, and use a slider to alter the size.
