Ella Vacuum Cleaner (c) Drew Hajduk - Vacuum cleaners on todays market are percieved as industrial by the users, yet are often intended for home use. I inteded to change this perception are create a more homely object which could make the user smile when it comes to the house hold cleaning.
The outcome was ella, a playfull character that is functional yet fun, a users friend designed to help clean the house, with a smile on your face of course.
Ella Vacuum Cleaner (c) Drew Hajduk - The object gains a playful personality that is designed to be the users friend, rather than just an object to achieve a means.The plug plays with the character of the design appearing as the tail while being more comfortable to grip than existing plugs.

appearance model to be produced using CNC routing.

Jigsaw Urban Navigator - When we navigate around urban areas we often find our way by recognising buildings or features that we know are on the way to our
destination.
Jigsaw is an application that guides the user by displaying a picture on screen that the user then has to find in order to navigate, thus immersing themselves in the city rather than rushing through it looking at a GPS screen, missing the details.
Jigsaw Urban Navigator - It was important to strike a balance between on screen feedback and physical feedback. Scenarios help explain and work out different ways of user and interface interacting with each other.
