EDGE Workshop Traveling Material for Exploratorium

If the workshop attendees can't come to the exhibits, the exhibits have to come to the workshops.

In spring of 2016, I helped plan and facilitate four regional professional development workshops for the Exploratorium's NSF-funded Exhibit Design for Girls' Engagement (EDGE) project.

To maintain continuity across workshops, we decided to continue using the same Exploratorium exhibits as examples.

I created 4 film clips of the original exhibits in the Exploratorium's gallery, structured to let participants code the real exhibits as if they were there.

I then designed and fabricated 2 miniature, modular versions to take on the road with us. This let participants play with the phenomena to prototype alternative designs.
