Functional Sculpture- Forbidden Fruit
Made for a functional sculpture class 1st semester of Freshman year. Solid piece completely carved from laminated blocks of Cherry wood. Branches were carved with air tools. Top made with band saw, air tools and chisel. Each branch is spring loaded, giving a plucking sensation as fruit is lifted off. No CNC was used.
