Columbus Center - DNA Lighthouse (background) Budgetary restrictions caused the central core of the wayfinding system to face either re-design or be omitted. As a central piece to a large part of the visitor experience, re-design was obvious. This solution saved the project more than $800,000. Since the Lighthouse was to be the "home-base" for wayfinding Buoys (foreground) scattered throughout the center. They should at least look like family.
