Well Met - This is one of three illustrations I did for the entry point of the Pacific Northwest Metropolitan Owners Club website. If you look during the day, you see this image. At night, the lights come on!
pnmoc.org - Metropolitan car club site - This is the entry door image of the Pacific Northwest Metropolitan Owners Club website as shown at night. I did the design of this site in conjunction with my friend Gordon Werner and Bowe Company
pnmoc.org - homepage
The Little Nash Rambler was close behind! - Another one of three illustrations I did for the entry point of the Pacific Northwest Metropolitan Owners Club website. If you look during the day, you see this image. At night, the lights come on!
Celebrity CMO Jeffrey Hayzlett's site - I wanted to caputre the class and professionalism of Jeff. I directed my staff to look at high end watches and cell phones, Men's top line jewelry and automobiles for inspiration. Jeff is more than a person, but a persona and a brand himself. We capture the exclusiveness of associating with him on his site.
Celebrity CMO Jeffrey Hayzlett's media gallery - Jeff is a world traveller and in addition to being a prolific twitter user, gives many talks and seminars. Here we added a media gallery, similar to having a private YouTube for Jeff alone. Originally this was to be a subscriber function, but has since become a public section of his site
Dr. Leroy Hood's P4Medical Institute site - Dr. Leroy Hood, originator of DNA sequencing, is predicting likelihood of future disease. He created P4 Medicine Institute, considering it THE medicine of the future. I designed the identity package and logo mark for P4MI, then directed site creation. Like others done under my association with New Media Broadcasting, it has a Social Media toolset behind it. Beginning with this homepage, it will expand as partners and researchers prepare this form of medicine to go public.
Verdugo Hills Medical Associates' site - Verdugo Hills Medical Associates is the 1st and largest urgent care facility in N. Los Angeles. I directed design of this site, a truly interactive care portal for patients, doctors and hospitals to share info for closer relationships. In time, EMR access, push to talk to a doctor, direct booking of visits and emergent care will be available from this portal & mobile. Additionally I designed the VHMA identity package in preparation for the re-launch of both the website and facility.
Monty Python Game Main Interface - I was the Art Director for all visuals as 7th Level Games turned the film Monty Python's The Meaning of Life into a CD-ROM Game. This is the main gaming navigation interface I designed and created. We affectionately called it the Fludd Wheel after Robert Fludd. The player would set the destination and flush themselves down into that part of the game. All good clean fun of course!
Mr Creosote - If you don't know who Mr. Creosote is, you have missed out on a cultural icon. Being that he was famous for the most disgusting vomiting scene in film history meant that recreating it for the game required an iron stomach. I tried to direct 3 different designers on this part of the game, but to no avail. I ended up animating the whole puerile mess myself.
Live Organ x-plants - Another famous scene in the Monty Python film was the "Live Organ Transplants" sketch where Terry Gilliam gets eviscerated on his kitchen table. We of course had to make it a fun part of the game. This was the intro screen complete with a cheesy animated host.
Result of an x-plant - Have you ever played the kid's game of "Operation"? Well, Live Organ Transplants was a digital version of sorts. The result was either a disgusting open cavity in the character, or a screen full of blood. I had to learn a kind of Medical Illustration meets cartoons style for this bit 'o happiness. Another example of where I ended up being the best one for the job. Ick!
You Don't Know John! - Another opening splash screen for the Monty Python Meaning of Life game. This was the animating title card for "You Don't Know John!" a kind of Pythonesque variation of the then popular PC game, "You Don't Know Jack!" It was a text driven quiz show type of game. Amusing, but not really exciting. Still, I rather like this image of John Cleese as the over-conservative Sex-Ed school professor with naked women popping out of his head. Just thought I'd share with you all...
Sony/Boeing Video on Demand Interface - In working with Sony Electronics as an Interactive UI Designer, I created this glass table metaphor for the interface in seatback entertainment. This was to be the main menu of a full range of entertainments offered while in the air. I designed this interface back when the web was just a bunch of flat boring static graphics, and Mac OSX wasn't even a glimmer in Steve Job's eye. Actually it was created on a Mac running OS 7.
