The Primary Schools Music Festival (PSMF) is a school-based music education program provided by the department and the SA Public Primary Schools' Music Society.

The PSMF gives students opportunities to perform at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, or in foyer concerts. There are PSMF choirs in over 300 government schools, as well as three orchestras and performance troupes in metropolitan Adelaide.

Primary students have performance opportunities as soloists, comperes, or as part of the South Australian Public Primary Schools (SAPPS) Choir.
