As Design Director, this project was taken from a raw concept through extensive styling, package and mechanical studies as well as innovative market research to develop the most awarded and publicized aircraft in recent history. The project was given the Red Dot award at it's completion. Numerous design patents were achieved and pre-sale records are broken regularly.
This project represents a long list of difficult constraints including weight, safety, complex function and structure and a need for super charged styling to attract newcomers to the world of sport flying breaking away from many preconceptions of what an airplane can symbolize.
