The three seasons: Spring, Summer and Winter and the corresponding floor plan.
Spring Concept: inspired by the freshness of April, the Spring design of Meta uses light wood tones and earthy browns and greens paired with a shock of orange to convey a spirit of new birth.
Summer Concept: the summer time palate at Meta Regional Grill draws from a vista of paradise. Refreshing blues and tropical greens throughout the space enhance the feeling of clarity when used in tandem with prominent displays of glass and clear acrylics.
Winter Concept: freshly fallen snow and crystal ice are the concept images for the winter design at Meta. The light blues of summer morph into much darker shades of teal. Glass is still prevalent but is grounded by darker tones of brown, inspired by the exposure of the skeletons of trees during a Canadian winter.

Meta Regional Grill-Restaurant Design

Student Project: an exercise in color.
Meta Regional Grill is a premium casual restaurant featuring a fresh menu that stays within a 500 mile radius year round. The client called for three separate floor plans for each season, as well as three wholly different color palates to correspond with the season. While furnishings could be reused, an entirely different feel was desired for each season: Spring, Summer, and Winter.
