The assignment was combining and creating any form out of an organic and inorganic shape. I had to learn the hard way that documentation is extremely important, these are the only few pictures of my very first creation of a furniture piece.
The design
I had to nail the wooden pieces in our PG bathroom because the noise was unbearable and it disturbed the entire house but a great learning experience. Keep the nailing work in the workshop.
The First Time
This one was a group project I did with Juhi Agarwal. Assessing the Taste Of India interiors and trying to fit in better seating.
We got the tress trunks for free. Little did we know that the transportation that included taking the trunk to the timber house and getting it cut with a high up keep because it was a dead tree would cost a lot.
The trunk had to be peeled off twice, the dead skin to prevent insects and require rigorous sanding and varnishing.
We were able to accommodate extra seating but the table did not compliment the seating comfort vise, it did aesthetically. Thus, started the journey of building structures.

First Time

First semester at Srishti was an invitation call for exploration of form. I had started exploring more with materials even when we were offered a chance to explore all fields of designs in our Foundation years. These two projects reflect upon the start of a journey as a furniture designer and space planner.
