Cover Page - My senior collection was based on my thesis "Femme Fatale and the "Good Girl" in Fashion and Film". with the thesis statement : What were the Hollywood costumes of the 1940's? How could two totally different represenations of woman coexsist? And to what enddid they affect the fashion of the day?
The Virtuous "Good Girl" - The "Good Girl" was defined by her clean lines, delicate fabrics, ruffles and womanly color palate
Femme Fatale - The Femme Fatale was represented by sharp style lines, manly design inspirations and bold patterns with a mysterious, darkcolor palate
Pumps on Wet Pavement Inspiration Page - I chose to design for the femme fatale of modern day, taking my inspiration from FIlm Noir in the 1940's.

This project was focused on the femme fatale and the good girl in the film industry. I researched the history of film, from silent pictures until the 1940s. From there I focused specifically on how these two characters translated their feelings from the camera to the audience via costume.
