Job Description

Our company is a leading supplier of home textiles in the U.S. with a broad customer base in brick and mortar and e-commerce.

We are seeking a dynamic team player that is responsible for creating and maintaining production ready packaging design files and die lines.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree; 3-5 years of experience in print design; prepress experience in a packaging environment; knowledge of packaging printing processes and die line creation and strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Full benefits are available. Salary range is $65,000 to $80,000 and is commensurate with experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and coordinate packaging proofing process including obtaining all necessary approvals from internal teams and relaying comments to graphics team overseas
• Submit packaging request forms to overseas team
• Create packaging press ready files, templates and die lines
• Create packaging mockups and plan-o-gram templates
• Oversee uploads and downloads of content, packaging files and proofing software with customer counterparts and third-party design agencies for private label brands
• Assist in packaging design at the sku level for customer presentations and orders
• Update, track and maintain all packaging running changes ensuring production schedule is maintained
• Update packaging library in internal PLM system
• Assist with showroom and store graphics

PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:
• Organize details, plan deadlines, prioritize, and maintain due dates for all packaging projects
• Effectively communicate project plans with appropriate teams/departments
• Conduct post-project evaluations to help streamline future processes
• Identify, communicate and resolve issues with internal teams and external contacts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of experience in Print Design
• Prepress experience in a packaging environment is preferred
• Knowledge of packaging printing processes and die line creation is strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Comfortable in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong timeline management skills
• Ability to work with efficiency and focus in a friendly, fast-moving environment
