Job Description

The One Club for Creativity seeks a highly motivated and technically-savvy Awards System Assistant. This role will begin with an initial learning period of our entry and judging systems and will become a more hands-on role with an evolving level of assistance to competitions using our systems. This includes involvement in entries, judging, winners, rankings, and users from a large number of regional and global design and advertising competitions. Moving forward these will all be areas in which this role will be advising competitions on. This role will be working closely with both internal and external competitions using our award systems.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn, and contribute to the continued success, growth, and build of our product—its features, reputation, and customer service. This role will be working with competitions currently based in four continents and we are looking for someone who will be committed to staying on to grow with it. The position itself has room for growth over time, moving from assisting to ownership over select items.

SKILLS NEEDED

Required:

– comfortable learning and using a complex custom cms
– strong computer literacy and comfort troubleshooting both internally as well as assisting others if needed
– has an interest in understanding how systems work and the desire to be invested in their continued success
– good interpersonal skills and comfortable with customer service via both written and verbal communication
– organized and reliable, working to meet specific deadlines, but also comfortable working independently within long-term deadlines
– ability to identify system issues and work with a team to come to a quality solution
– understands the importance of a seamless experience for users on both the front and back end of a utility system; experience identifying successful UX/UI
– comfortable working with data and spreadsheets
– comfortable working in a Mac-based environment, primarily on desktop
– comfortable working in Google Workspace

Preferred:

– understands at least basic HTML coding and can implement page designs or features
– experience with technical manuals and/or instructional guides
– an interest in newly emerging technologies and a desire to explore which ones are appropriate for our internal builds
– data entry and cleanup experience
– comfortable working with Adobe programs, specifically for image editing and formatting
– comfortable working with Figma
– an interest in or learning about global advertising and design

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

– work with all internal and external competitions to ensure best practices are being achieved and to ensure a fluid experience for the competition admin
– maintaining the ongoing calendar of key dates for all competitions
– maintaining the award systems email account
– assist in the continued maintenance and updates of the system
– assist in the creation, management, and maintenance of a system manual (written and video components)
– help maintain and update templates
– track feedback to inform on updates and future features
– be part of conversations and workshops on new features and improvements to the systems
– assist competitions with any system questions that arise during the season
– assistance during live judging sessions, both in-person and virtual sessions
– help maintain our user database


ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

– occasional late nights or early mornings may be required for international calls or assistance (but always with advance notice)


BENEFITS

Salary: $55,000 per year
Location: hybrid with an office in Hudson Yards, New York City
