Job Description
Interior Design and Space Planner: Plan and design the interior spaces of residential buildings. Meet with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements and aesthetic and stylistic preferences and develop design concepts for interior spaces. Research the technical variables and implications of design concepts and incorporate findings into the overall design. Research furnishing options and artwork for the client’s space that are within the client’s budget. Create design plans that coincide with the client’s vision and budget while ensuring that the design is suitable for the building’s structure and compliant with the American Disabilities Act. Prepare and modify interior design sketches and plans that highlight the specific elevations, sections, and details of the space. Prepare interior design presentations and construction drawings using video creation and editing software. Document the material and equipment need of designs for engineering and construction personnel. Confer with the construction team to determine the feasibility of designs and finalize design specifications, material, color and equipment, costs, and construction timeline. Evaluate, select, and modify standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for company interior design projects.
Requirements: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
40 hours/week.
