Our New York / New Jersey based Home Décor & Gift importing company is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer / Product developer.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles and trends in the Home Accessory and Gift business.
They will be proficient in Creative Suite.
This role requires the ability to translate trends & ideas into compelling graphics and design elements, that apply to our product mix & resonates with our customer base.
Our products include; Decorative Signs, Wall Art, & Home / Tabletop Décor.
As a Graphic Designer, you will create the graphics and design elements for our product, create product specifications, while communicating & collaborating with our oversea factories and USA sales team.
Duties
• Develop and design Decorative Signs, Wall Art, & Home / Tabletop Décor
• Produce factory specifications.
• Collaborate with our Merchandising and Sourcing team
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality designs.
• Attend occasional meetings, at our Offices, Showrooms, Trade shows, and Customer locations. Costs covered by our company.
Qualifications
• A portfolio link showcasing previous work is required.
• Experience in the Gift & Dec industry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required.
• Experience in digital art creation is required.
• Experience in Surface Pattern Design highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• A degree in Graphic Design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
• 3 - 5 years work experience in this field is required

This Full-time positions pays from $75,000 - commensurate upon experience
