Job Title: 3D Designer
Reporting: Will Report to Dana Heins, Creative Manager
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000; paid by CAG, not any individual brand
Work Location: 100% remote
Description
We're looking for proficient 3D Artists, who can work in a variety of areas such as 3D modeling, texturing, rendering environments, compositing, and lighting to create exciting and innovative experiences in 3D. The ability to work within and across, interdependent teams is a must, so the right person will have an implicit understanding of the balance needed between artistry, communication, and partnership. The ideal candidate will be accomplished in working with a variety of 2D and 3D software packages and demonstrate the ability in modeling and texturing static 3D objects. You must be able to build a near-perfect product model and environment from just a single or small set of photographs. The right candidate will be comfortable working with a creative team in a collaborative environment and consistently raising the bar on quality.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• The candidate will create from scratch 3D assets (and occasionally edit existing assets) for a wide variety of marketing materials including print material, website and advertising.
• Must be able work from a general creative brief and run with the process, coming up with creative solutions on their own when necessary.
• Create 3D renders of visually pleasing environments (both industrial and architectural settings) to show our company products in use. Products and environments will need to be built from the ground up.
• Maintain consistently high standards for accuracy, aesthetics, and productivity
• Continuously improve workflows and processes
• Highly proficient in rendering and retouching 3D renders to accentuate photo-realism
• Highly proficient in architectural rendering and product visualization
• Create 3D animations and videos
• Possess a strong understanding of lighting, mapping and cameras.
• Able to read 2D CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with creative team to create workload estimates, project timelines, and coordinate projects from start to finish
• Be able to excel in a fast-paced collaborative production environment
Experience
• 3+ years of professional animation/motion graphics experience
• A diverse portfolio showcasing your still render and video animation work
• Experience developing project briefs and scripts into storyboards
• Able to receive feedback from creative and sales teams, working through rounds of revisions based on the comments received
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
