3D Design Director

Job Description

The 3D Design Director will be responsible for supporting the delivery of
sculptures, luxury awards, and custom art objects. Must have experience in
AutoDesk Maya software and strong team management skills.

3D Design Director responsibilities:
- Support creative director on projects in 3D modeling, lighting, texturing, and
rendering
- Manage a team of skilled designers to deliver quality work on schedule
- Conceptualize and share design ideas with the team to solidify direction and align
project expectations
- Model 3D projects from various reference materials, including CAD drawings,
sketches, and photography
- Ensure compliance with company brand guidelines and design standards
3D Design Director Requirements:
- BA in design, portfolio required, MFA a plus
- 7-10 years of experience in 3D design, 5 year experience team management
- Must have Autodesk Maya experience
- Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and
Illustrator
- Must have experience in Rendering software
- Basic knowledge of ZBrush and ability to adapt to new software programs is a
plus
- Solid knowledge of polygon and sculpting types of modeling in 3D Nurb modeling
is a huge plus
