Transient Bike Share Project
An 8 week team based studio project to create a full sized bike for urban environments. From our research and observations found an opportunity in a bike share platform that encourages users to ride together with a central light that glows in the presence of other Transient bikes. Creating a bike that was easy to maintain and not intimidating to new users was also important so we incorporated airless tires, a shaft drivetrain and automatic shifting so users can concentrate on the riding experience.
