No Books No Ball

No Books No Ball is a youth basketball camp/league in Boston that emphasizes hard work and good grades. I was asked to design a series of posters to be placed on site at the gymnasium for the day of an event. Multiple copies of the long banner were to be placed court side while the landscape posters were placed on the walls. The portrait posters were to be placed on doors in a smaller size and to be placed on an easel at the gym entrance mounted on a black foam board.

Yellow and black are synonymous with school (i.e. school busses). Yellow also represents energy and is proven to stimulate learning. I used the grid to creatively arrange the typography in a way that ties all 3 pieces together while maintaining clarity.
