This was designed in my series of objects to explore uncomfortable situations in life.
I have seen great examples of furniture that has been romanticized for couples. But as in any relationship there are times when distance is inevitable. My chair tries to capture the tense situation of a relationship yet trying to suggest a possible reconcilation.
