Book Design, "A Brighter Future"
This book commemorates the 10th anniversary and best practices of a public charter school that helps urban youth become successful students. “A Brighter Future” has won several awards.
The interior was designed in two colors in order to get the most number of copies from the U.S. Department of Education grant funding. Each chapter starts with a full-bleed photo and engaging introductory copy. The main body of each chapter includes photos, factoids and sidebar boxes. Most chapters also include a student success story.
“Ms. Eckbreth proved to be an outstanding designer, and harnessed the pressure to design an attractive, clear, and professional product. Her hard work, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit were apparent. Completed in October 2009, the book has received positive remarks from the national educational community.” — Timothy A. McKalip, M.Ed., Director of Development, IDEA Public Charter School
