Polymath - Polymath won first prize in the category 'Renaissance' at MAD UK 2007.
The concept behind the costume looks at Leonardo Da Vinci as a pioneering free thinker. The word Renaissance means re-birth. The costume, when closed, resembled a chrysalis and opened out into Leonardo's flying machine wings. The body revealed is flayed as a symbol of thought shifting towards humanist ideas and scientific faith.
