Donuts and coffee

I was working with 3Ds Max so far, but frankly I wasn't very happy with the final output. No matter how much I tried, I just couldn't get the kind of realism in my renders as I would want. Now that's also because I didn't have access to V-ray and there are hardly any good resources available for Mental Ray to learn from. So, a fine day I stumbled upon a friend's work done in Blender, and immediately decided to give it a try. I also discovered the famous Blender Guru channel, run by Andrew Price and noticed it's kind of a "right of passage" thing to make the donuts. So, after consulting more than a few tutorials, and pushing it a tad bit further that the original tutorial, I came up with my own donut scene, which is also my first ever render in Blender.
