Buddy Seat
No electronics, no fancy 3D renderings. This project is back to basics. Every school kid, of varying ages, ethnicities and household incomes have either given or received a ride on the handlebars of a bicycle once in their lives. For some, this becomes a means of transportation. The Buddy Seat is meant to touch, inspire and bring a sense of nostalgia to both the viewer and user.
The proto-type features a hand-shaped wood seat, heated and bent steel rails, and a clamp-on stabilizer. The stabilizer keeps the seat from falling forward or backward and also allows the seat to be mounted to ANY bicycle, even those without the presence of fork panier braze-ons.
