Bernooli, a home bar startup, asked for form development of their existing smart spout. Given internal component constraints, they wanted a spout that has a luxury feel, but can be manufactured at a reasonable price point.
Flow is a smart spout for a high end home bar. The form is clean, with a tapered, cylindrical form in brushed stainless steel. The top of the steel is cut with an elegant curve. Inserted into the top is a frosted, white plastic pour channel, which can be 3D printed. The 6 lines on the side are also frosted plastic and indicate how much liquid will pour when using the manual mode. The lines also provide a fun visual element when in use, and can light up in multiple colors. The frosted circle on the side, with the Bernooli logo, is the control button when using the manual mode. Although the form has sophisticated curvature, Flow is designed to be low cost to manufacture.
