Knee Crutch Mobility Aid
Redesign of a knee crutch for non-weight-bearing lower-leg injuries. Mine is a low tech solution that uses bent plywood and a locking key connection to provide a user friendly way to stay active with an injured ankle. The knee crutch allows users to keep use of their hands during use unlike traditional crutches, and the key mechanism keeps the thigh plate and shin plate locked together while walking, but allows for easy disassembly for partial removal while sitting or for storage.
