Loop velcro area for attaching identification or morale patches. Reversible cargo panel with daisy chain and bungee side visible. Allows for easy and fast compression of bulky or those items one does not wish to put inside the actual pack. Slotted buckles allow one to completely remove cargo panel and still retain compression ability.
Both compartments open. Cargo panel unbuckled and folded down showing the reverse side consisting of a modular webbing grid.

Dual Compartment Day Pack

The problem space addressed by this pack is the issue of organization and separation of commonly-used items in one's daily backpack.

This pack facilitates a solution from multiple angles: multiple compartments, cargo panel, and modular webbing.

The compartments are lined with packcloth, which provides a slick but abrasion resistant material for improved liquid repellency and easy extraction of items.

The reversible cargo panel offers a way to separate bulky or wet items without the addition of a bulky compartment or complicated gusseting system. The opposite side features modular webbing for additional organizational options.

Modular webbing featured throughout the pack has been a staple since the introduction of the MOLLE system in the military space. In this application, however, it provides many of the organization and expandable options that made it popular in its original space.
