Dot is a simple pen machined from aluminum and anodized black.

I started this project by setting some goals that I wanted to achieve.

I then began to prototype pen forms and the mechanism I would use to retract the ink cartridge.

In CAD I developed the pen further and produce a technical drawing I could then machine from.

I then machined the upper body, lower body, and a Delrin pin that holds the two halves together. After purchasing two set screws an ink cartridge and a spring I assembled my pen.
