MAM Project
MAM is a company that manufactures products for babies. The company proposed a project during my first placement in Vienna, 2011 in the hope of gaining more design ideas. The brief was simple – to design a product that would increase the interaction between mothers and babies during the stage when babies are learning to feed themselves and to determine what benefits can be brought to the dining process for both mothers and babies.
The result was a “fork” design that helps babies to feed themselves more effectively, and a “scoop” design that brings convenience to the mother when she serves chopped or mashed food to her baby.
In two years, I refined this design in order to make it more complete; I came up with another plate idea. The plate has a large surface area so that mothers can prepare food on the place while babies feed themselves from the same plate; this increases the interaction between mothers and babies. The meal set was named “SPOORK”.
