Strike Zone Tabletop Baseball Game was a project that was a passion project of the owners of the company Koolbots. They wanted to bring a tabletop version of baseball with all the bells and whistles that would make an articulated batter with multiple ways to swing and bat bring a new life to an old game. This project really pushed my engineering capabilities as well as pushing the limits of what we could do mechanically. This project was launched on Kickstarter and was fully funded within 2 weeks. I provided all of the CAD and helped with the styling of the sculpting of the figures. We made dozens of versions of the batter over the course of a year and finally have an articulated batter that can handle the aggressive play and endure pitch after pitch. We 3D printed dozens and dozens of prototypes testing the designs. We are very proud of what we ended with and are excited to show the next level in the next product.
