Bacteria Combat allows users to battle bacteria cards to defeat their friends. I produced the explosion effect and animation as well as this quick promotional screen for the iOS app store.
Short video (iPad aspect 4:3) showing gameplay from Bacteria Combat.
I produced the User Interface visible on this screen as well as this promotional image used on the iOS and Android stores. I experimented and tested a diegetic UI which had players select stats on the cards themselves before switching to this traditional layout. This layout utilised more of the screen and provided readable, accessible input whilst still requiring users to engage with the cards to make a gameplay decision.
As an educational application, learning validation is included in the form of a quiz that tests a users knowledge between rounds.
The game has local multiplayer where multiple users play the game on a single iPad. This was an intentional design decision as it led to the facilitation of discussion surrounding the subject matter within a classroom environment.
