Lamborghini Le Mans Concept - The whole design was developed in the Master course in the SPD – Milano under the guidance of Filipo Perini, head of the Centro Stile and Alessandro Salvagnin designer of Lamborghini.
The Le Mans concept is a single seater with trapezoidal architecture clearly expressing the identity of the brand.
The concept is based in the idea of the Diamond Cut. I want to treat the surfaces like a precious object. I studied the different diamonds and how they have evolved and then I tried to apply the same process to the surface treatment of the car. I want to show contrast between the lights and the shadows.
The brand character is expressed by the front intakes that show a trapezoidal shape; the V shape lines of the bonnet and the prominent wheel arches. These are inspired by the 60’s models like the Miura. The engine cover was inspired by the F1 cars. It is an important volume that emphasizes the most important element of the car; the engine. (Lamborghini is about the engine). The rear part of the vehicle shows a diffusor and a wing that ecoes the Countach.
The final result is a machine that has the look of a jetfighter for the road that features a stile similar to the Reventon. Extreme proportions for a extreme machine. The proportions are based on the Le Mans race cars like the Audi R10, it has a 2800 mm wheelbase, 4555 mm length, 1146 mm height and 2043 mm width. The engine is the incredible V12 with 670 hp.
