MERCEDES 292 HYBRID

THE 292 MAKES REFERENCE TO THE 1989 WINNER OF LE MANS THE SAUBER MERCEDES C9, THE C11 AND THE 291.

THE EVOLUTION OF THE DESIGN CUES FROM THE GROUP C MODELS FROM
THE 80’S COMBINED WITH THE FUELL CELL TECHNOLOGY AND ELECTRIC ENGINES GIVE SHAPE TO THE FINAL DESIGN.

THE INCLUSION OF A MOBILE FRONT WING THAT ACTS AS A WING BRAKE MAKES DIRECT REFERENCE TO THE C9 FRONT END. IN THE REAR END WE CAN SEE A BIG ELECTRIC TURBINE THAT HELPS TO GENERATE DOWN FORCE TO THE VEHICLE. THE REAR WHEELS HAVE INDIVIDUAL ELECTRIC ENGINES AND A SMALL FRONT ELECTRIIC ENGINE GIVES POWER TO THE FRONT WHEELS.

THE CHASIS AND BODYWORK ARE MADE OF CARBON FIBER.

THE WHEELS AND TIRES USE A MAGLEV SYSTEM FOR THE MOTION.

THE SPECIAL 3D PRINTED TIRES HAVE A BLADE STRUCTURE TO HELP THE MOTION OF THE AIR THROUGH THE CAR AND USE AN “OWL” (ON WHEEL LIGHTING SYSTEM) TO GENERATE THE GRAPHIC OF THE BRAND MICHELLIN DURING ITS MOTION.
