A tongue-and-cheek approach of wise words for any up-and-coming designer, "Printers, Donkeys, and You" offers a life lesson of always expecting the worst so you'll never be disappointed [and when it does go wrong, it's nothing to worry about].
"Faith Trials" is about faith struggle in modern society and uses the higher education duality as an example, illustrated by two sides of a planet.
"Rebel Heart" is a short writing of always needing to stick out and be different throughout life shown in repetition, color, and asymmetrical design across the 2-page spread.

Dear Freshman Me,

"These letters are to you, to us, and to anyone who will take what is written here and find it useful or just plain interesting. They are about design, love, spirituality, and relationships - silly, as well as serious - and many other parts of life that are simply worthwhile. What is written in these letters isn't the opinion of an expert or the experience of a prodigy, but are the observations of a class - the Visual Communications class of 2012, to be exact. We used this opportunity to document observations turned to growth, and growth turned to improved design and intentional living. We wrote these as Seniors. We wrote them to our Freshmen selves, as advice for the new students we were four years ago. We wrote them because we are graduating in a few months and want to leave something behind as a testament to those who will come after us. (80 pages)"
