E-scoot
Solar and battery powered kick scooter. This was originally made as an in-house project of Ducks industrial design. It was conceptualized about 2 years before it was actually presented as a thesis work for the Master of Fine Arts and Design program. The presentation was awarded "Bene Merritus" or the equivalent of "Magna Cum Laude". It was presented at a time (2014) when no solar electric scooter were presented yet in the market. What made the product more special is that it uses all the available parts in the Philippine local market. Which makes the product highly possible for production and the cultural identity of the product. Graphics were specially designed to show the philippine cultural identity and the low cost and low-end production of natural fibers used as a substitute for fibermat.
