Coffee Break Cafe is a conceptual idea for The City of College Station in Texas that is geared toward the large student population from TAMU and Blinn. Local coffee shops have been found to open and close within a few years even though they are popular with the student population. Coffee Break Cafe offers a full cafe experience with locally brewed coffee and a selection of menu items. The cafe offers students education resources such as tutors, computer labs, and study rooms. When creating the environmental design for this project I thought about the colors seen and experienced when brewing coffee; the dark black of the bean, the muted yellowish foam of espresso, and the creme color of froth. These colors make up the color for the Coffee Break Cafe. For visuals, I decided to keep it upbeat and youthful for the student audience and use stencil style art of different educational leaders from the past with popular quotes they used about education to inspire those who visit the cafe.
